The Practice

Clifton Associates of Bristol Ltd is a firm of Independent Financial Advisers. Set up as a Group Practice, it is small enough to give a personal service but large enough to ensure it is a professional one. We believe that quality advice requires maturity, experience and the right credentials.

Our aim is to ensure all clients receive advice and an on-going service which is objective, forward thinking and of the very highest standard. It is our opinion that the best decisions can only be based on due consideration of all the available options.

Procedure

An initial meeting is held to carry out a review of the client's current financial situation and to establish his or her aims for the future. This meeting can be held at our offices or alternatively a venue of the client's choice, be this home or office. Any information discussed will be treated in the strictest confidence and this primary meeting involves the client in no obligation or cost.

A second meeting, if appropriate, is then arranged to consider the client's particular circumstances in greater detail and to discuss possible methods of achieving their financial objectives.

Client Protection

The Practice is a division of the Abacus Group which is regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Abacus provide us with sophisticated, totally independent, research on both financial products and investment performance. Although future performance can never be guaranteed such research should ensure that we obtain above average performance for our clients.

As independent financial advisers, Clifton Associates of Bristol act solely on behalf of its clients and does not represent any Financial Institution. We undertake to explain the main features of any recommended product and to explain the risks there may be and the costs there will be as well as the potential future benefits you could gain from it. For example, the majority of contracts carry an in-built 'right to change your mind' but in some instances, when this right is exercised, not all the investment may be returned if values have fallen in the meantime.
